What is Hyaluronic Acid?

If you're interested in Beauty Products, you've definitely heard of hyaluronic acid.
But what is it?
Well, Hyaluronic acid is an anionic non-sulfated glycosaminoglycan.
Uh... Okay. But what the hell does that mean?
Here's a 60 second video on the topic taken from our YouTube channel.
Hyaluronic acid is found all over the body, naturally. It's intriguing to dermatology and cosmetics because it's been proven to plump and hydrate the skin.
Hyaluronic acid attracts water. It can hold up to 1000x it's weight in water. First generation hyaluronic acid suffered from an inability to penetrate the surface layer of the skin. However, newly developed HA can penetrate the surface of the skin and provide lasting increase in volume to the face and cheeks.
So consider picking up a serum or a face mask containing hyaluronic acid (you can find them here, one our site.) Also, don't forget to drink plenty of water.
