Washing your face seems like the easiest, least complicated part of your beauty routine, right? Well some common lathering habits can cause a whole list of skin woes, including dryness, redness, irritation, oiliness, and breakouts.

Don't Skip Out on Your AM Cleanse
Washing your face at night is a rule-of-thumb when it comes to skincare, even if you don’t wear makeup (and it doesn't need to be re-iterated). You might think cleansing your skin before bed is all you need to wake up with a fresh face, but another rinse in the morning is a good idea. Germs move to your face even as you sleep.
Don't Use a Cleanser to Remove Make-Up
Your cleanser is NOT your makeup remover! First off...wash your hands before you wash your face! Many makeup brands are smudgeproof or waterproof, so basic cleansers will not remove them thoroughly. It's important to use a gentle makeup removing wipe, warm water, or oil-based makeup remover before you wash—especially when removing long-wear makeup.
Don't Cleanse AFTER a Sheet Mask
Wash before, never after! Use the excess serum to your advantage...after peeling off a sheetmask, use that same sheet to wipe off the extra serum. More like massage the remaining serum INTO your skin.

One last thing...
Moisturize after cleansing! It's inevitable that cleansing removes topical skin as well as removes impurities...but it dries out your skin. So remember to moisturize after
